A hole saw is only as good as the arbor that drives it. How to choose: start with the hole saw you are using and the drill you will drive it with. Choose an SDS Plus arbor if you are working with an SDS Plus drill, and a standard arbor for a conventional chuck. Match the arbor model to the diameter and type of hole saw so the thread and drive pins line up correctly. Care tips: keep the thread and drive pins clean, tighten the hole saw fully onto the arbor before drilling, and check the pilot drill regularly, replacing it when it becomes blunt so the hole saw starts accurately. A loose or worn arbor, a bent pilot drill or a hole saw that is not fully tightened can all cause wobble. Check each before drilling again.
