How do I measure my bandsaw blade length?

Do you cut bandsaw blades to any size?
Yes — all of our bandsaw blades are made to order and cut to your exact specification. Simply enter your required length in millimetres, choose your width and TPI, and we will cut your blade fresh to order.
What TPI should I choose?
TPI (Teeth Per Inch) depends on what you are cutting. As a general rule, lower TPI (2–6) is better for thick materials and fast cuts, while higher TPI (8–14+) gives a smoother finish on thinner materials. A good rule of thumb is to always keep at least 3 teeth in contact with the material at all times. If you are unsure, feel free to contact us and we will advise you.
What is the difference between carbon and bimetal bandsaw blades?
Carbon bandsaw blades are best suited to cutting wood, plastics and soft materials. Bimetal bandsaw blades have hardened high-speed steel tooth tips and are designed for cutting metal, stainless steel and harder materials. Bimetal blades last significantly longer than carbon blades when cutting metal.
What is the difference between M42 and M51 bimetal blades?
M42 is the standard bimetal grade suitable for the majority of metal cutting applications including mild steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals. M51 is a premium powdered metal grade with greater hardness and heat resistance, recommended for hardened steel, titanium, inconel and other difficult-to-cut alloys where M42 blades wear out too quickly.
How long will delivery take?
All orders are normally processed and dispatched within 2 business days of the purchase date. On occasions where we are awaiting material stock, dispatch may take up to 4 business days. All orders are sent with free delivery across the UK.
Is delivery free?
Yes — we offer free delivery on all orders within the UK, with no minimum order value.
Can I return a blade if I ordered the wrong size?
As all blades are made to order to your exact specification, we are unable to accept returns for incorrectly ordered sizes, widths or tooth pitches. Please double check your measurements before ordering. If your blade arrives with a manufacturing defect or we have made an error, please contact us at sawmasteruk@hotmail.com and we will resolve it promptly.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes — we offer a 5% discount on orders of 5 to 9 blades, and a 10% discount on orders of 10 blades or more.
What materials do you supply bandsaw blades in?
We supply bandsaw blades in carbon steel, bimetal M42, bimetal M51, meat & fish (food safe), and band knife. All are available cut to your exact specification.
