Choosing the right edge profile
- Straight edge — Clean cuts through foam and soft rubber — the most common choice
- Scallop edge — Reduces drag on thick foam blocks and improves cut quality
- Short wavy edge — Fine finishing cuts on leather and thin synthetic materials
Choosing the right width
- Narrow (¼" – ½") — Curved profiles and shaped foam cutting
- Wide (¾" – 1½") — Straight cuts through thick blocks for a guided, accurate result
